PASC U11 Girls Vipers - Hempfield Fall Classic Champions

The PASC Vipers headed to Lancaster this past weekend looking to “strike” at Hempfield Fall Classic Tournament opponents. The team knew the competition was going to be tough and they rose to the challenge!

Our first opponent on Saturday was a talented PA Classics Premier. Both teams played a cautious first half, but the Vipers came out with intensity in the second half, scoring 3 goals to secure the victory.  Our second opponent was Lower Merion Epic, a competitive team from PAGS.  But that didn’t scare the Vipers as they held the run of play in scoring 3 goals against only 1 goal allowed.

Sunday was a new day, with an early start and a biting wind chill.  The Vipers faced their toughest opponent Mechanicburg SC Tornados, out of Central PA.  Both teams were undefeated going in and a battle ensued for the win and first place in the group.  A great game ended in a 2-2 tie, which advanced both teams to the finals for a championship rematch.

From the kick-off of the championship match, play by both teams was aggressive and with purpose.  The Vipers struck first just before half-time and then came out on fire to start the second half.  The final score for the championship game was 4-0.

Congratulations Vipers on a great weekend of soccer and a great fall season!

PASC U9G Sharks took 1st place at the 3rd Annual Boyertown Blast

Just when you thought it was safe to go back into the water…. The PASC U9G Sharks took 1st place at the 3rd Annual Boyertown Blast on November 21st.   The Sharks were first spotted along the coastline of Boyertown beating the “Amity” Heat FC 4-0 early in the day. The waters got rougher, but the Sharks took a bite out of the Perkiomen Valley Storm 2-0 in game 2.  The Governor Mifflin Crushers realized they were going to “need a bigger boat” – as the Sharks completed an undefeated day with a 4-0 win in their finale.  The girls went 3-0 beating their opponents by a combined score of 10-0, scoring 29 out of a possible 30 tournament points in the process to capture the gold. Way to go Sharks -  look for a Sequel on the pitch next Spring!

PASC U13 Red Devils Hempfield Champs!

The PASC Red Devils survived the cold and won this year’s Hempfield Adidas Fall Classic this weekend.  After beating DELCO Division II rival Concord SA Kings 2-1 and the Southern Chester Dragons 7-2 on Saturday the boys beat Upper Dublin Arsenal Black 1-0 Sunday morning to advance to the Finals.  Sunday’s Finals against a great Salisbury United team.  PASC had two early goals disallowed, but still managed to put two more in the back of the net in the first half.  Salisbury rallied back to tie the game midway through the second half only to see the Red Devils put the difference maker in with 15 minutes to go for the 3-2 win.  The Red Devils played great team soccer as evidenced by goals by 8 different players on the weekend!

River Columbus Day Classic Tournament

The PASC U13 Girls Force team finished as undefeated champions playing in the River Tournament over Columbus Day weekend.  The Force not only finished undefeated but played up a level at the U14 age bracket and was not scored upon during the entire 4 game series.  The Force beat the AFC Heat 2-0, the Hereford Herr-icanes 2-0, the PASC Power 1-0, and in the championship game beat the AFC Heat 3-0 to clinch the title.  It got back to the Force players that the AFC Heat was looking forward to playing "the little girls" in the championship game.  Not sure the Force appreciated the descriptor, but it was determined quite clearly on the pitch; it is not about how big or old you are, it's about the amount of heart you play with.  GO FORCE!!!

PASC Coaches Game: Saturday, November 14 at 6:00pm - 8:00pm

The Fall Coaches Game will be under the lights at County Fields (kick-off 6:15 pm) on Saturday November 14th. Those of you who found the heat too much for the June game have no excuse this time – especially if the weather is like last year!

As ever, the game is for all coaches and assistants of any age, ability or sex. And if nothing else it should settle that age-old argument as to which sex feels the cold more!

Once again we’ll be limping over to Red Robin for a get-together afterwards.

Please contact George White at thatch1@ptd.net if you wish to play.

Gettysburg Battlefield Blast U13 Girls Champions

The PASC U13 Girls Force were crowned undefeated champions at the recent Gettysburg Battlefield Blast.  The girls went 6-0, beating WYSA Gametime (2-0) & (3-1 in semi-finals), Mason Dixon Lightning (2-0), HMMS Revolution (2-0), & the Barrens Dragons (7-0).  This allowed them to reach the finals against NEPA Premier Training Academy.  They beat the NEPA team 2-1 in sudden death overtime.  Overtime consisted of 7v7 with no goalies and a player being removed every 5 minutes till a team scored.  Parents were assured if their heart survived watching that, no need for their routine cardiac stress test.  The girls moved the ball extremely well and showed patience over the 6 game tournament.  Congratulations Force girls!  As always, we are proud of you!

The PASC U9G Strykers played and won their first tournament and first set of games for U9 at the KidsPeace tournament on August 22,23.  It was a big change for the girls as they learned to play 8v8 and compete on the larger field.  The team got better as the tournament went on.  The first game was a 2-2 tie against Triboro and then they had a tough battle against the PASC U9 Sharks team winning 3-2.  The final game was a 5-0 win against Pottsgrove to take first place.

It was an exciting and fun weekend.  The coaches could not be prouder as with very few subs they play hard all weekend.

PASC U11G Vipers

The PASC U11G Vipers competed in the Premier Division at Battle at The Hill top in Limerick PA on August 15,16. This was the first time the girls have played together as a new team. The First game end in a 3-2 loss to Ridley United Rampage. The Vipers competed to then but just ran out of time against Ridley.  The Vipers bounce back with a strong showing against Rage SC 04 Athletic with a 4-2 victory. Sunday set the stage for a epic battle with Methacton United SC Liberty. Methacton United was undefeated in the bracket and looked to move on to the finals. Unfortunately for them they had to play the Vipers and were defeated 4-2. This put  PASC Vipers in the Finals against Valley Voodoo.

The Vipers had a good showing in the championship game but fell short losing in the final game and finishing as finalist in a very competitive bracket.

The coaches could not be prouder of these Girl and we look forward to continued success this season.
