Our Mission and Club Philosophy

Mission Statement

The mission of the Parkland Area Soccer Club (PASC) is to improve ALL soccer players by providing a positive learning environment, including an age and skill appropriate training curriculum administered by highly trained coaches who develop players in the technical, tactical, physical, and psychological aspects of the game.

Club Philosophy

PASC recognizes that not all players have the same goals and aspirations related to the sport of soccer.  PASC will provide opportunity for ALL players, from recreational/intramural to premier travel, to receive the appropriate level of training to help them to achieve their personal goals in a fun environment that promotes teamwork, sportsmanship and mutual respect.

Success is defined by continued player interest in the sport of soccer; as well as the improvement of our players, coaches, and teams.

Players will be accepted into the PASC program without regard to race, religion, nationality, or financial status.

History

The PASC was formed as a soccer-only club in 2004 and is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization.  It is a member of the Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer Association (EPYSA).  The goal of PASC was to combine the experience and resources of two long-standing programs to become the leading soccer club in the area.

The PASC coaching staff is headed by a coaching committee of at least (6) United States Soccer Federation licensed coaches, who will provide a consistent and comprehensive training curriculum.  These coaches have extensive experience at the youth, high school, and regional levels.  The focus is to help all coaches provide the highest level of training appropriate for their team, from age Under-5 intramural to Under-19 travel.  This will ultimately help the players achieve their individual goals.  These goals include learning/enjoying the sport of soccer with their friends in a recreational environment to competing at a higher level such as the high school, Olympic Development Program and even collegiate level.

Membership for our inaugural season (Spring 2005) was nearly 1,200 players.  Today, our membership reaches 2,000-2,400 players per calendar year.  Participants in our program range in age from 4 years through 19 years of age.  PASC players reside primarily in the North Whitehall, South Whitehall, and Upper Macungie townships and attend the Parkland Area School District or local parochial schools.  We also have players residing in Northwestern, Bethlehem, Salisbury, and surrounding areas.

PASC typically has around 70-80 teams playing at the developmental, recreational level, and the highest travel level appropriate for a particular team.
